Week of January 25th

We are nearing our 100th day of school! It is this Wednesday the 27th so please make sure that your student is at school that day, it is a very big funding day of us! Our spelling words for this week are:

On the homework for Thursday it asks the students to write about their favorite book again, what it was to say was their favorite book read this week at school. So on Thursday we will review the stories we have read in class, if there is a story they read at home that they would like to write about that is fine.

Week of January 19th

Welcome back from the long weekend! I hope everyone had a nice break and is ready to come back this week! The spelling words for this week are:

Please remember to keep reading and filling out the reading logs from Bookman's. We are trying to win that prize money and are very motivated! Please let me know if you need an extra one to fill out at home.

Also please remember to bring in a big shirt that can be worn for art. Mrs. Molina wants the kids to paint but wants to save their nice school clothes! Please bring a shirt in, we can keep it at school so that you don't have to worry about sending it every week.

Week of January 11th

The 100th Day of School is close and I would like each student to bring in 100 of something so that we can practice counting by 2's, 5's and 10's. The 100th Day is very important, please remember to have your student here at school that day!

Week of January 4th

WELCOME BACK!! I hope that everyone had a nice and relaxing break for the holidays. I am very excited about this next semester and can not wait to see how the kids grow into 2nd graders! The spelling words for this week are:

There is a new assignment for Thursdays for the spelling homework. We will now be writing a story using 5 of the spelling words to practice our writing and brainstorming skills. If you have any questions about this new homework please let me know.

Our fieldtrip is coming up on Thursday, February 11th, and just a reminder we will be eating at the park that day so please remember to send a lunch with you student that day.

Also there is no school on Monday, January 18th, for MLK day.

This Wednesday is Dress Down for a dollar day! Can't wait to see all my stylin' students!
