Welcome back! I hope that everyone had a great break and is ready to come back for our last two weeks of school of the third quarter. Grandparent's Day was so much fun and I would like to thank all of the grandparents who were able to make it on Wednesday. The spelling words for this week are:

Please make sure that you are writing the stories on Thursdays, this is how we get better at writing! Have your student read to you what they wrote. This helps them hear what they actually wrote and helps with our editing skills.

Week of February 15th

Wow! We had such a great week last week! Field trip and Valentine's Day party and this week is Love of Reading. We will be doing a lot of reading this week so if you would like some more reading logs for the week please let me know and I will get some more to you. The spelling words for this week are:

On Wednesday, February 24th, it is Grandparents Day at La Paloma! We will have a great morning and have some fun activities planned for the class. There will also be a lunch at about 10:35 so please invite all the Grandparents!

Week of February 8th

I hope that everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the Superbowl! I know that the kids were very excited about it! The spelling words for this week are:

We have our field trip this Thursday, February 11th, at the Fox Theatre. We are all so excited to see the show and have been reading the books in class. Please remember to pack a lunch for your student that day and please BE ON TIME! We have to leave the classroom at 8:45 and will be off campus by 9:00.
We will also be having a Valentine's Day party this Friday afternoon. Please feel free to bring in some goodies for our party and your Valentine's Day cards. I have attached a sheet with every student's first name to the weekly newsletter so that you and your student can reference it when making your cards.
This is going to be a jam packed week and we are all very excited!
