Week of March 28th

Welcome to another great week of school! Permission slips for our field trip to Old Puebblo Grille went home on Tuesday. Please get those and the $2 for the field trip to me as soon as possible. In class this week we will be learning the letter W and continuing our mystery unit. There is a fun mystery homework assignment puzzle that you will need to put together to solve the who-done-it! We are still working on addition problems and basic patterns. We have begun to write our numbers to 100 and are practicing counting everyday. I am happy to see that so many students are practicing their writing and filling out their reading logs on their own. Please keep turning those reading logs in, I love to see what you are reading! Next week we will be using playing cards to quickly identify numbers to 10 and if they are more or less than. In order to have enough cards we will need each student to bring in a pack of playing cards. Have fun with it and bring in a fun, colorful pack of cards with easy to read numbers by Monday, April 4th. Please start working with your student on their address and phone number. It is important that the student knows the address of the home that they are at most often and phone numbers that will be easiest for them to get a hold of someone. I know many students have two addresses so please practice both but make sure they know the primary address. Looking forward to another great week of school!
