Welcome back from break! I hope everyone is rested and ready for a wonderful last quarter, only 41 more days.
Over the week of AIMS we will be taking two field trips. This can be a very long week for our little guys because we have to sit quietly in our room all day, so we are getting out for the day on Tuesday, April, 17th and Thursday, April 19th. We will need parent volunteers for these trips so please let me know if you can help!
This week we are beginning to work on our mystery unit and learning the letter W and the sound it makes. We have almost learned all the letters of the alphabet and their sounds and your student should know all of these. If your student is struggling please reinforce at home. We have also been doing lots of reading and have been working on sounding out lots of different words. Please count with your student every night. Our goal is to count to without skipping any numbers is 100. Please also review what the teen numbers look like, these are often a challenge for students.
Just a reminder, there is no school April 6th-9th for Easter Break.
Looking forward to another wonderful week in kindergarten!

Week of March 12th
Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!
Due to the short week next week we will not have a weekly letter. Please remember that Tuesday is the end of the quarter and will be half day with no lunch and no after school. You need to pick your student up at 11:30 in the front of the school. We will be in the same spot on the east wall at 11:20ish.
This week we are beginning to work on St. Patrick’s Day and learning the letter X and the sound it makes. We have also been doing lots of reading and have been working on sounding out lots of different words. I will try to send home the report cards Friday because I know there are students going out of town for Spring Break, so watch for those.
Please count with your student every night. Our goal is to count to without skipping any numbers is 75. Please also review what the teen numbers look like, these are often a challenge for students.
We are looking for families that would like another weekend get away with Chewy! There is a calendar on the door, please sign up for a weekend, especially Spring Break. Chewy is also in need of some food so if you can help please sign up on the door.
Thank you!
We are still running very low on glue sticks. We do many projects that use them and only have a few left, and they will go quick. If you can and would like to donate to our class we would be very appreciative.
Looking forward to a wonderful last full week of the 3rd quarter!

This week we are continuing our unit on Dr. Seuss and learning the letter J and the sound it makes. We have also been doing lots of reading and have been working on sounding out lots of different words. This is very exciting! We are also working on addition and have been

Thank you to all of the parents who brought in boxes of Kleenex for us this past week. It is very much appreciated it and our noses thank you!
