Week of September 24th

Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!  Friday, September 28th, is the last day of our quarter and that means it is a half day that ends at 11:30. There will be no after school and no lunch that day!  Every student needs to be picked up at 11:30.  We have that next week off for Fall Break, September 29th-October 7th.  The second quarter will begin on Monday, October 8th.

As the weather starts to get colder I know that you will want to start bundling up!  The students may wear red, navy blue or white sweaters or sweat shirts with no writing or pictures on them.  Please label the inside tag of the jacket/sweatshirt/sweater, so that if it is lost we will have an easy time finding it.
Just a reminder that the days that our parent/teacher conferences are this week, the 24th-27th.  These are quick little conferences to go over your student’s report card and to chat about what we will be expecting by the end of the year.  The conferences are short and sweet, only 10 minutes, so please be on time so we can use the whole allotted time.  I am looking forward to meeting with all of you!
This week homework will go home today, Monday, and is due on Thursday. This week for a break we will be doing an art project for homework.  Each student needs to make a collage about fall!  This is your chance to be creative, so have fun J We will be reviewing this quarter’s letters and sounds as well as numbers.  Start working on numbers to 50, those teens can be very tricky especially when identifying them.  Keep working hard at home, it makes such a difference! Also please count with your student every night.  Our goal is to count to 50 without skipping any numbers this next quarter.
Have a wonderful and safe break!
