Week of September 17th

Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!  Friday, September 28th, is the last day of our quarter and that means it is a half day that ends at 11:30. There will be no after school and no lunch that day!  Every student needs to be picked up at 11:30.  We have that next week off for Fall Break, September 29th-October 7th.  The second quarter will begin on Monday, October 8th.

As the weather starts to get colder I know that you will want to start bundling up!  The students may wear red, navy blue or white sweaters or sweat shirts with no writing or pictures on them.  Please label the inside tag of the jacket/sweatshirt/sweater, so that if it is lost we will have an easy time finding it.
This week homework will go home today, Monday, and is due on Friday. We will be working on the letter A and will be continuing our fairy tale unit.  Please keep filling out your reading logs at home, I love to see what you are reading!  Keep working on numbers to 25, those teens can be very tricky especially when identifying them.  Keep working hard at home, it makes such a difference!
Also please count with your student every night.  Our goal is to count to 25 without skipping any numbers.
Just a reminder that the days that our school has volleyball games you will need to come pick your student up in our classroom.  If we are not outside by 3:15, that’s where we’ll be!  Games: September 21st, 25th and October 11th, 16th, 18th and 25th.  Some games might be rescheduled and I will try to keep you informed.  If we are not up front by 3:15, please come find us back in room 306.  Thank you!
