Week of September 4th

Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 5th, is Duds for Dollars!  Your student may dress down for one dollar.  This is a great fundraiser for our classroom and a fun chance for the students to show off their personal style.  If your student wants to dress down please make sure that it is in dress code, no tank tops or sandals.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 5th, we are doing a girls volleyball fundraiser in the cafeteria from 1:30-3.  We will be showing The Lorax and serving popcorn and a drink all for $2!  This is a fun afternoon treat and helps raise money for the volleyball team!  Ms. O’Hare and I will be there to watch over the kindergarteners.

This is the last day of the school fundraiser for entertainment books.  If you have sold your book or have sold many books and need to turn in your envelope with the order forms please bring them to Ms. Hayde or I in the classroom.  If you were unable to sell your book please bring it back to us ASAP.  The last day to turn in money or the book is tomorrow, September 5th

This week homework will go home today, Tuesday, and is due on Friday. We will be working on the letter P and will be continuing our garden unit.  This is the first week for writing numbers 1-25.  This is very challenging for the students, please reinforce at home. For science this week we will planting seeds so watch for a seedling coming home this Friday! The apple tasting went very well this past Friday, thank you for all of your help bringing in apples, we can’t do it without you. J Also please count with your student every night.  Our goal is to count to 25 without skipping any numbers.
