Week of November 5th

Welcome to another wonderful week of Kindergarten!  This Wednesday, November 7^th, is Dud for Dollars!  Your student may dress down if they bring in a dollar.  This is a great chance for your student to show off their personal style and raise some money for our classroom supplies.  Have fun with this!

This week homework will go home today, Monday, and is due on Friday. We are working on the election this week and will be having our own, “Super Tuesday,” and learn all about the voting process.  We are also learning the letter F and the sound that it makes.  Keep working on your reading logs, we are sending home Book-it tickets and anyone who turns in all their reading logs each month can earn one!  Keep up the reading and finding sight words on the text.

Also please count with your student to at least 50 every night and practicing writing the numbers to 50!

We are having our Harvest Feast on Tuesday, November 20^th.  Please bring in $1 for stuffing that Old Pueblo Grille is going to make for our whole school!  Our Holiday Show is going to be on Tuesday, December 18^th, and it usually starts around 9:00.  We will have a half day the next day, Wednesday, December 19^th, and then we will be on break!

Peanut is really enjoying his weekend getaways with all of you, he tells us about them every Monday J If you have already taken Peanut home this year, please feel free to sign up for another weekend again!  There are also long breaks, like Thanksgiving and Christmas that we will be looking for a kind family to take Peanut home.
