We have checked with administration and our graduation will be Friday, May 18th. Many parents like to make this a special day and take their student after graduation. We think that is a wonderful idea and wanted to give you plenty of time to get the day off for this once in a lifetime, and very cute, kindergarten graduation!
Our field trip to Sabino Canyon was last Thursday, January 26th. We had such a wonderful time and learned so much important information about the desert and how it was formed. A big thank you to the parents who were able to come and chaperone, we can’t do these trips without you, so we really appreciate it!
This week we will begin our unit on weather and seasons. This will be the second week that we will have a spelling test. Our class did an amazing job on their spelling test this last week, keep up the great study work! This will be a weekly occurrence and will help us get ready for first grade. Please continue studying with your student!
Please count with your student every
night. Our goal is to count to without
skipping any numbers is 75. Please also
review what the teen numbers look like, these are often a challenge for
students.
I'm looking forward to another great week!

Week of January 2nd
Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready for another fantastic year!
Thank you to all of you who brought in the items for the gingerbread houses we made
at the end of the semester. And a very
big thank you to Mrs. April who came in and helped make all of the gingerbread
houses, it was very much appreciated! We
had a wonderful time decorating, it was a very nice end to the semester.
We are starting our unit on
Dinosaurs this week and I know that there are some dinosaur lovers out there so
if you would like to bring in any of the favorite dinosaur books to share with
the class we would love that! We are
continuing to work on letters and their sounds and blending them together to
make words.

It’s
cold outside, which is nice because it feels like we have seasons, and means we
can finally wear our winter clothes. If
you are going to wear a long-sleeved undershirt it still needs to be red, white
or navy blue, as per the dress code.
Your student’s shirt also needs to be long enough that it can be tucked
in, and stays tucked in if they lift their arms over their head. Thank you!
