Week of October 28th

             Welcome to another wonderful week in kindergarten!  I will be getting married this weekend on Saturday, November 2^nd!  I will not be here on Thursday, Friday or the following Monday and Tuesday.  If you have any questions or concerns Ms. Hayde will be able to help!  I will not be near a computer while I am away but if you email me I will try and get back to you by Wednesday, November 6^th. Thank you!
           Chilly fall mornings are here which is wonderful but the afternoons are still warm.  Please make sure that your student’s sweater or jacket is labeled with their name inside so it does not get lost.  Any sweater can be worn outside but if your student wants to wear their sweater inside the classroom it needs to be a solid red, white or navy blue color.
         On Halloween we will be having a little party!  I have put out a list of treats our class has brainstormed for the party! If you would like to help please sign up, the list will be on the door.  Please only bring something in if you have signed up!!!  If not we end up with so much wasted food!!  Students CAN NOT wear their costumes to school that day.  Students will need to wear their uniform to school that day as usual.

           I know how busy of a week this can be for everyone so there is NO HOMEWORK this week!  Please read with your student every night for 20 minutes but have a fun, family filled week.  There is so much going on around town and in our classroom.

This week we will be reviewing the letters T and M, going on our field trip, doing some fun science and math with pumpkins, and Miss Witch will be coming to visit and make her famous brew J

Week of October 21st

        Welcome to another wonderful week in kindergarten!  The Pumpkin Patch is pretty far away so we are going to try and leave school by 8:45 on Monday, October 28^th.  Please have your student here early that day, around 8:00am so that your student has time for breakfast.  Please remember to send a sack lunch with your student that day. Everything will be thrown away at the park after the picnic.  

 Volleyball season is upon us and there will be a few days that I will not be able to walk the students up front for pick-up due to a game.  Upcoming games:

           On Halloween we will be having a little party!  I have put out a list of treats our class has brainstormed for the party! If you would like to help please sign up, the list will be on the door.

Students can not wear their costumes to school that day but sometimes we get to wear jeans and a Halloween shirt, I will keep you updated when I find out!

            This week homework will go home today, Monday, and is due on Friday. This will be the last reading log to turn in for October and I will hand out Book It tickets for students that have turned in every one of their reading logs on time.

We are working on the letter T this week and beginning to write a class story!  In math we are working on numbers 6-10 and identifying and making growing patterns.

HARVEST FESTIVAL is this Friday, October 25^th from 6-8 at school!  I will be doing a tattoo booth, come stop by and see me!
