Week of December 9th

Welcome to another wonderful week in kindergarten!  This week in class we will be learning the letter C and the sound that it makes. We will have the last homework of 2013 go home on Monday and come back on Friday. We will also be reading about hibernating animals and continuing to make some fun holiday arts and crafts!

This week I will be testing for the 2^nd quarter report card. Please count with your student every day, to at least 50.  Some important sight words to review daily are have, is, we, like, to, the and little. Also keep reviewing those numbers, especially the teens!

          On the last day of the quarter, Friday, December 20^th, we will be making gingerbread Christmas Trees!  I will send home a list with your student sometime this week of the item that they will need to bring.  Please send the item in by Tuesday, December 17^th.  Thank you so much for your support!  

 Our second field trip will be on Thursday, January 23^rd to Sabino Canyon.  We will be learning about our desert environment and doing a bunch of cool activities!  For this field trip we will need 3 parent chaperones, one per group.  If you are interested please let me know ASAP!  The first 3 parents who talk with/email me their interest will hold the available spots!
