Week of March 24th

     Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!  There will be a BLINGO fundraiser on March 29^th, to raise funds for a little girl with TAR Syndrome.  If you would like to purchase tickets they are $10 in the office.

       There will be a program called Mad Science starting on 3/26 for students K-6 in after school.  Flyers went home before break!

       LPA will be having it’s summer camp again this year!  Look for flyers coming home soon.

     At the end of the year we will have a kindergarten celebration! We put on a concert for all of you parents and then you can take your student for a very special day, a whole day to celebrate becoming a 1^st grader!  We will have the celebration on Friday, May 16^th at 9:00am.  I know it can be hard to get time off, and I wanted to be sure to give you plenty of notice!

      This week we will be learning the letters and sounds of J and W and the sight words they, of, are and that.  In math we will be working on composing numbers from 11-19 and finding 10 more than.  In science we will continue to work on solids and liquids and will be working on a fun project!

       Please wait until we ask for the seedlings to come back to school.  We have to wait until a specific day to plant and I don’t have the best track record with keeping plants alive until then.

        The last snack calendar is going home today.  Please look for your student’s name in April or May and make a note on your calendar.  We have 30 students in class and snack favorites are assorted chips, fruit snacks, assorted Nabisco snacks and goldfish.  Please make sure snack is individually packaged!!!
