Week of March 3rd

Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!  At the end of the year we will have a kindergarten celebration! We put on a concert for all of you parents and then you can take your student for a very special day, a whole day to celebrate becoming a 1st grader!  We will have the celebration on Friday, May 16th at 9:00am.  I know it can be hard to get time off, and I wanted to be sure to give you plenty of notice.
This Wednesday is Duds for Dollars!  Your student may dress down if they bring in a dollar for our class fund to buy headphones for our computers and kindle!
This Friday is Character Lunch with the principal!  We are looking for a student who is always doing the right thing, trying their hardest and showing kindness to others.
This week we will be working on the letter E and the sound it makes.  We will also continue working on composing and decomposing numbers to 10.
We will also be learning about solids and liquids and the difference between them.
We will  be starting report card testing this week so keep working on those tricky teen numbers, sight words and counting to 75 without skipping any numbers.
We are looking for old shoe boxes for a class project on March 14th.  If you have any old boxes please send them in!  Every student will need one so if you see a shoe box laying around bring it on in!
