Snow Cone Day: Buy a Snow Cone for a $1 at lunch time.
*If bolded students may
dress down, all other days in uniform.
This week we will be
learning the letter and sound of V and Z and the sight words what, said and
was. In math we will be continuing to work on measuring length, weight and
capacity. Homework this week will be a small packet of math review and spelling
words by sounding out! Please let your
student sound these words out by themselves, they are becoming amazing readers
and spellers! We have 20 students who can count all the way to 100 without
skipping any numbers! Please keep
working on counting by 1’s and 10’s to 100.
La
Paloma Academy will be having it’s annual summer camp at all campuses this
year! If you are interested please
contact the front office. We have a
flyer on our door and there is lots of information on the LPA website as
well. There will be also a small summer
program from June 2nd -26th from 8am-12pm to review
skills from kindergarten and into 1st grade. Please see the office for applications.
At
the end of the year we will have a kindergarten celebration! We put on a
concert for all of you parents and then you can take your student for a very
special day, a whole day to celebrate becoming a 1st grader! We will have the celebration on Friday, May
16th at 9:00am. I know it can
be hard to get time off, and I wanted to be sure to give you plenty of notice!
