Week of March 10th

           Welcome to another wonderful week of kindergarten!  There will be a BLINGO fundraiser on March 29^th, to raise funds for a little girl with TAR Syndrome.  If you would like to purchase tickets they are $10 in the office.

       There will be a program called Mad Science starting on 3/26 for students K-6 in after school.  Please look for a flyer coming home this week!

       LPA will be having it’s summer camp again this year!  Look for flyers coming home soon.

         This week we will be reviewing letters, sounds and sight words.  We have 14 students who know all of their sight words, which is fantastic!  Keep working at home!  We will be continuing testing this week for report cards and Galileo.  Please make sure your student gets lots of sleep and is rested for the day!

Homework for this week and next will come home today and it will be a cup with basil seeds and soil in it!  Please help your student make sure the soil is moist and help the seed grow into a basil plant that we will plant in the garden after spring break!

  If you have not already sent your shoe box/small box in, please do so ASAP! We are looking for old shoe boxes for a class project on March 14^th.  If you have any old boxes please send them in!  Every student will need one so if you see a shoe box laying around bring it on in!

  At the end of the year we will have a kindergarten celebration! We put on a concert for all of you parents and then you can take your student for a very special day, a whole day to celebrate becoming a 1^st grader!  We will have the celebration on Friday, May 16^th at 9:00am.  I know it can be hard to get time off, and I wanted to be sure to give you plenty of notice!
